On April 1, 1985, the Supreme Court rendered a decision that ended an eight year court battle between a gay student organization seeking equal rights of free speech and Texas A&M University. As one can see by the web navigation buttons to the left still inactive, we will adding sections on providing period video clips, news clippings, interviews, and stories about the students involved in the organization and the campus activism of Texas A&M at the time. So, as this website proceeds 'Under Construction,' we welcome you check back with us new contributions and features are added. In the meantime, we offer a preview summary video clip below. Also available is the reprint of the April 23, 2010 cover story of the Montrose Star, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary, featuring a full-length story on the students that made up GSS.
